The Delayed Curse

Written story
A neighborhood bully loved to torment Mulla. One day, he went too far and snapped Mulla's walking cane in half. Heartbroken, Mulla pointed at him and cursed him: "You broke my cane, which served as my leg! May God break your leg! Mark my words, in forty days, or forty months, or forty years, this curse will strike you!" The bully just laughed and walked away. But he hadn't taken three steps when he tripped over a rock, fell hard, and snapped his leg. Wincing in pain, the bully looked at Mulla and said, "Wow, your curses work fast! That didn't even take forty seconds!" Mulla shook his head. "Don't give me the credit. That broken leg is from someone else you tortured a long time ago. You're going to have to wait for my curse to break your other leg."
